We're Worried About Our Relationships
More islanders are struggling with their relationships…. In the last year, family problems have overtaken debt as the issue the Citizen's Advice Bureau is asked for advice on. The charity can help with the practical side of things like sorting out maintenance, access to children and housing licences.
Bus Contract To Cost Us Less - Not More
Guernsey's bus contract is expected to cost us less this year - not more…. The Environment Department is hoping it's projected figures add up favourably. The States accounts revealed the bus services subsidy cost tax payers around £2.3 million pounds last year while this year's newly signed contract with CT Plus is worth £2.4 million. A spokesman for the Department says the service had been projected to cost us more than that this year though, so a saving of up to £200,000 is still expected. Broadband Boost In Guernsey
St Saviour's residents are the latest to get an improved broadband service…. Sure is working on updating part of it's infrastructure to give us faster internet access. The latest phase of this work saw two new multi service access network boxes installed in St Saviour's with more to follow elsewhere.
