Search Tips
If you can't find the person or business you are looking for,
try the following to improve your chances of getting a result:
- Make sure you have entered the person's surname
correctly.
- Enter just the surname / business name without defining the
initials or the parish. Some people's parishes are not listed in
the directory so they won't be displayed in the search results if
you define a parish.
- Try entering a small part of the surname / business name, for
example if you can't find an entry for 'matthews', try entering
'matt'.
- If you are searching for a business which has initials in its
name e.g. R. B. Bloggs, try searching for just 'Bloggs'.
- If you are searching for a business enter just the category
without the business name.
- If you search on a type of business e.g Dentist and several
other categories are displayed, you need to refine your search. Try
using the A - Z Classifieds which will identify the exact heading,
click on D and then Dental Surgeons. The results will display
entries appearing under that specific category only.
- Try to make sure that you do not use your back button since
this may result in failed searches.
- If a business has numbers in its name, try entering the number
as a word eg. 2e2 try 'twoe'.
