Sure reaches 10,000 in Isle of man
Sure’s Isle of Man operation has reached
another important milestone by signing up it 10,000th mobile
customer.
The Guernsey operation has provided the hub for
Sure’s expansion into Isle of Man, and the latest milestone comes
just months after its launch there last July.
Unlike in Guernsey, where there has been
competition in telecoms for several years, both the Isle of Man and
Jersey have only recently opened up their markets to new entrants.
Sure is now the second largest mobile operator in both these
islands.
Sure’s Channel Islands Commercial Director
Gregory Jordan said the latest milestone was evidence of the value
and choice being offered by the company.
“We introduced competition into these mobile
markets, offering customers real choice and value for the first
time, and as a result thousands have now chosen to switch to
Sure.”
“Sure’s success is based on providing great
network coverage, quality services, and a real focus on creating a
superb customer experience. We will continue to build on these
achievements this year by expanding our range of services and look
forward to welcoming even more people to Sure.”
The Channel Island and Isle of Man operations
were recently named as one of Cable & Wireless’ most
competitive locations worldwide.
Sure customers in the Channel Islands and Isle
of Man can use their mobiles in all three islands without incurring
roaming charges.
