So, you need a reliable solution to archive data and restore if required?
Cable & Wireless Guernsey offers a managed
solution for the changing and storage of your backup tapes.
We'll change your tapes during normal working
hours and store them in a secure, fire suppressed, controlled
environment, offsite from your servers.
You'll supply all the tapes and drive equipment
and tell us what schedule you want. Be advised, Cable &
Wireless is not responsible for the integrity of the data that's
copied onto tape; it's up to you to manage that.
If you find that you need data restored, you
can easily arrange that by calling our Guernsey Customer Support
Centre to log an assistance request. We charge by the hour for
restoration when it's needed.
Why backup?
Don't say it won't happen to you. We recognise
that data backup is high among your IT priorities and it is
important that it is done as and when you need it.
Don’t chance being unprepared for a data loss
event, the cost to your business would be unthinkable.
We understand that a backup schedule is a part
of your DR plan that requires reliability and flexibility. That’s
why we offer customised schedules – you tell us what you need and
when.
Tape changes outside of your schedule, cleaning
tapes or bespoke daily requests require 4 hours notice, by email or
by logging an assistance request through the Customer Contact
Centre.
As well as a monthly service charge, tape
changes are billed in blocks of 50 changes per month, which
includes cleaning tapes.
We'll also store your tape archive if you need
it. Storage is sold in blocks of 50 tapes, stored in an offsite,
fire suppressed and environmentally controlled environment.
