After six years of support, Sure has agreed that it is the right time for a new sponsor to take over the Swimarathon.

“It has been an honour and a pleasure to be involved with such a long-standing and popular community event which has raised so much money for so many local people, charities and organisations,” said Sure’s Head of PR Steve Smith.

“Each year, as other companies do, Sure evaluates all its sponsorships and we have recently introduced a sponsorship criteria to ensure our support of the community is carefully considered. As islanders will know, Sure has invested thousands and thousands of pounds into the local community from sponsoring it’s own staff in events right up to large commitments such as Sure Skate.

“We’re sure that the Swimarathon will find another sponsor extremely quickly and one which can bring a new level of energy and enthusiasm and support to the organising committee as they look to grow the event and raise even more money. We wish them every success and will of course continue to support it by entering teams of staff as we have done every year.”
