Sure passes the 75,000 customers mark
Telecom network operator, Sure, has over 75,000 active customers
across the Channel Islands and Isle of Man for the first time. This
most recent milestone confirms Sure’s status as the network of
choice in the three island jurisdictions with over 40% of the total
market.
Paul Taylor, Marketing Director at Sure, said:
“People are turning to Sure because we put our customers first. We
understand island life and island markets, and focus on great
customer service, reliable networks and best value.”
Sure began operating in the Channel Islands in
2002 when it bought Guernsey Telecoms. Its Jersey mobile network
was launched in 2006. Sure mobile now has a customer base in Jersey
and Guernsey of almost 60,000. Since it started its Isle of Man
operations in 2007, Sure has attracted nearly 16,000 new
customers.
Sure operates 3G mobile networks in Jersey
& Guernsey and is planning to introduce 3G services in the Isle
of Man in the near future. It is committed to providing value for
money and charging where possible on a per second basis which means
customers are only billed for the actual time they use, unlike some
other operators.
Sure is already focused on achieving the next
milestone of 80,000 customers, a goal that should be reached sooner
rather than later particularly as the company continues to place
customers at the heart of the business.
