User Guide - Views and Screen Sizes
In the
View menu on the window
top bar there are 5 different sizes - so you can make it really
small and carry on with other things, or fill your entire screen
and sit back.
The menu is used to switch between different
applications on Sure TV. It can be opened by either pressing
the M key or with a right mouse
click on the Sure TV screen.
Click the on screen buttons to choose your
desired feature and move left/right to pick from On Demand
or Settings.
User Guide - The Control
Panel
The control panel appears automatically on start up and
remains on screen for a short period of time before disappearing.
To make it re-appear, press the Return key,
the N key, or click on
screen.
You can quickly change channels using your Page Up
and Page Down keys, or by clicking the up
and down arrows on the left hand side, or even directly
typing the channel number via by the keyboard.
User Guide - Programme
Guide
To see what's on through the week you can open the programme
guide if you are in the TV application. To do this you can press
the P key, or use the Menu
button.
Double click on the programme (or channel
name) of interest to view the live channel or browse
the information for the next 7 days programming by scrolling
up/down the channels or right for the programmes coming up
later.
You can jump through the channels a whole page at a time by
using the Page Up and Page Down
keys. You can also jump forward by 24 hours at a time by
pressing the B key, and back 24 hours by using the
Y key.
Double click the video or press
Escape to exit the Programme Guide.
You can personalise how Sure TV works and looks through
the settings. You can open the settings screen using the
Menu.
For example you can choose the display aspect ratio (16:9
Widescreen, 4:3 Standard). Your settings choices will
not apply unless you click OK to apply or
press the Return key.
Whilst watching Sure TV, to access the Video on
Demand (VOD) section, first open the TV
Menu:
- Press “M” on the
keyboard
- Or click the
Home symbol on the Control Panel
(see screenshot below)
- Or just “Right Click”
anywhere on screen
Enter the “Video On
Demand” category by clicking on the
filmstrip image – then click the
“On Demand” text.
Navigate around the VOD Menu using the on screen
arrows or the arrow keys on the
keyboard. 
To
watch a selected program press Enter on the
keyboard or the on screen "Ok"
button. 
Whilst
watching your chosen programme - the "Control Panel"
will change to a traditional VCR style screen. The
buttons from left to right are: Programme Info, Chapter
Skip (back), Rewind, Pause/Play, Fastforward, Chapter Skip
(forward), and Stop/Return to
Menu.However to quickly
pause using the keyboard just press the
spacebar.
To exit
the VOD section and return to live TV: simply
click the “Home” symbol, choose the
TV image, and click the
“Watch TV” option.
