Sure Skate to return?

Event organisers and sponsors of the Sure Skate ice rink are currently in ‘positive’ discussions with regards to its return this Christmas. But they stressed that there were still a lot of discussions to be had and agreements to be met between all parties.

The ice rink was a massive hit when it was staged in the market square throughout the festive period last year.

Everything Ice Ltd, Terrace Promotions and event sponsors Sure are hopeful that an agreement will be met shortly.

“Because of the success of the event last year, we are very keen to secure its return,” said Paul Taylor, Sure’s Marketing Director for the Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Bermuda.

“There are a lot of people involved in the planning process and we are currently engaged in positive discussions with all relevant parties. This is a huge investment for Sure, which we need to consider in the current downturn. We hope to be able to make a more concrete statement over the coming weeks.”
