Householders can repair many telephone problems themselves
1 December 2010
All landline services have been restored after
engineers worked throughout the weekend.
The majority of problems reported involved
household broadband services and most faults investigated have been
found to be internal to the customer’s property, and primarily
involved the configuration of broadband filters, which can be
easily and cheaply replaced by the householder.
Lightning strikes can often cause issues with
telephone services, but there are now no problems with the island’s
telecommunications network.
