Dual parenting
Dual Parenting offers extra protection against
possible failures to customers with ETSI ISDN30 service, or the
customers equipment failure, over and above the high standards of
reliability already provided by the network.
Available to customers with Direct Dialling In
(DDI) range of 1000 numbers, it enables the 1000 (DDI) number range
to be hosted over two separate local exchanges, and delivered via
physically separate routes (wherever possible) within C&W's
core network.
If a problem occurs on one of the two
connections, the second will provide continuity for incoming calls
to your business. To achieve full diversity, the two ISDN30
connections should terminate at different customer sites.
Service features
- Invisible to your users - they will not notice if there is a problem with the network. They call the same number or extension range without knowing to which exchange or connection they are routed.
- Point of failure - Dual Parenting offers maximum resilience, increasing the probability of maintaining continuity in the event of a network, access connection or CPE failure.
- Minimises business lost through network faults- for main process issues re-routing will be performed automatically; with network or CPE problems, Sure ensure that the minimum time is lost in re-routing your traffic.
- Backup for data and video traffic - If you use your ISDN Primary Rate lines for data and video, your second connection will carry that traffic too.
