Disaster recovery

Sure's disaster recovery service is designed to support your business if you lose telecommunications services at one of your sites due to an emergency such as a fire, flood, customer equipment failure or terrorist action. This service may be vital for your company if data and voice connectivity is business critical.

Key features

  • Diverting incoming call traffic to an alternative location(s)
  • Diverting your private circuits to an alternative location(s)
  • Services are diverted remotely, negating the need for our engineers to provide a site visit
  • Tailored solution for your circumstances
  • Diversions can be invoked 24x365

Diverting of voice services

In the event of a disaster this service enables your incoming call traffic to be diverted to your pre-specified back up site. Diversions of numbers included in a Disaster Recovery plan can be invoked for a complete number range provided to the affected site, with the divert being made to either a single destination number or to a maximum of 20 alternative local or national numbers.
Contiguous number blocks can be broken out from the complete Direct Dial In (DDI) number range into a maximum of 20 blocks, diverted up to a maximum of 20 destination numbers. Each block is diverted to one destination number, but more than one block can be diverted to the same number if required.

Diverting of private circuits

Private circuit disaster recovery service redirects your data to an alternative site via a pre-installed backup circuit between the two sites. These circuits need to be installed with a point of cross connection within the same exchange.
