Director
20th February 2007
Cable & Wireless have announced the appointment of Simon
Last-Sutton as Commercial Director for their new operation in the
Isle of Man. Simon has spent the last 8 years in telecommunications
and comes direct from T-Mobile UK.
He has worked all over the world including SE Asia, Europe and
America. He has been involved in technology companies for most of
his career including the launch of the first UNIX computers in
Europe with AT&T. While at News Corporation he was involved in
Asia’s initial launches of digital satellite and terrestrial TV
infrastructure. Simon has also worked for Hewlett Packard as Global
Account Director for HSBC bank.
Simon is excited about setting up a new telecommunications
company in the Isle of Man. He believes that the Manx people
deserve real choice. He said: ‘For too long there has been a
monopoly in telecommunications here. A company like Cable and
Wireless can offer products and services that are fresh, relevant
and simple to understand. Due to its global presence the latest
technology can be offered at the most competitive rates.’
