LEADING INDUSTRY ANALYST TO
SPEAK THIS MONTH
One of the UK's leading technology analysts
will speak to the business community in the Isle of Man on
23rd November.
Sure mobile will be holding a series of
seminars over the next 12 months, which will explore how technology
can provide practical benefits for businesses of all sizes.
The 'Technology Unplugged' series will begin on
23rd November at the Hilton Hotel with Lars Vestergaard,
Research Director for IDC's European Wireless and Mobile
Communications Group. IDC is the premier global provider of market
intelligence, advisory services and events for the information
technology, telecommunications and consumer technology markets. The
event is co-sponsored by Research in Motion and will include a
presentation of the latest products and services available within
its BlackBerry product range.
Mr Vestergaard is primarily responsible for
research into the wireless enterprise market. Additionally, he is
responsible for research across a wide range of topics, including
mobile market sizing and forecast, mobile data and internet,
fixed/mobile integration, and the ownership map for the European
wireless telecommunications market. Mr. Vestergaard is a
well-regarded industry commentator and analyst, and is frequently
quoted in the media. He is a regular speaker at industry events and
has presented at a number of high-profile industry seminars and
conferences.
Mr. Vestergaard's talk, entitled 'Business in a Wireless World',
will focus on the current use of technology by local businesses and
how new applications could change working practices. He will also
outline practical tips on how to effectively implement a technology
strategy.
