Useful information goes mobile!
The Isle of Man government has been working
with Sure to provide useful local information to mobile phone
users.
Sure Mobile customers can view the content on
Sure Live!, the operator’s high speed mobile internet portal.
Airport arrival and departure information and roadwork updates are
available in the site’s travel section. There is also a selection
of news and events within the news & money section. Sure
expects to add more local information in the next few months.
Sure’s commercial director, Simon Last-Sutton,
said: “This information will be useful for everyone, but
particularly those who drive or travel a lot. We will continue to
add more to Sure Live! so that our customers can get access to all
the local information they want, whenever they need, wherever they
are.”
Sure Live! was re-launched in December with
short cuts to local and useful web sites and a search engine that
will adapt most web sites into a form that can be viewed easily on
any internet capable handset. Sure Live! also features cool
ringtones, downloadable games and wallpaper.
Free high speed mobile internet is available on
all Sure mobile’s Pay monthly price plans until 31st March 2008.
Pay as you go customers receive free internet for a month as long
as they have topped up by £10. The monthly data charge for new
BlackBerry customers is halved until April to reflect the free high
speed mobile internet offer.* Instructions on how to configure a
mobile handset to access the internet are on the web site:
www.surecw.com. Alternatively,
customers can call the customer support centre: 01481 700700 or
visit the Sure store.
*Sure’s free high speed mobile internet offer
is subject to a fair usage policy of 75MB per month.
