blackberry bold means business
The iPhone may be causing a stir in the island but it is the newly
launched BlackBerry Bold getting the best reviews by business
users.
In keeping with previous smart phones from
BlackBerry, the latest model has been designed specifically for
business users, but is also a head-on competitor for Apple’s
device.
It offers the same high-speed web access, can
send and receive emails on the go, and has built-in sat-nav.
It doubles as a mobile entertainment device for listening to music
and watching movies, and equals the 2 Mega pixel camera device
found in the iPhone.
Where it beats the iPhone for business users is
its ability to open and edit Microsoft Office documents, the
physical keyboard in place of the iPhone’s touchscreen which makes
typing easier and more accurate.
Sure’s Head of Mobile Pat Cunningham said that
the Bold stays true to its business heritage.
“BlackBerry has always designed its handsets
with business customers in mind and this latest model is no
different, however it is also a sophisticated multimedia device,
capable of everything the iPhone is capable of,” he said.
“Technology websites the world over are
praising the Bold as the best BlackBerry ever produced and many,
including me, proclaim it as the ultimate extension of the desktop.
It looks pretty sexy too.”
The BlackBerry Bold costs £375, but unlike the
iPhone is available on Pay as you go from Sure.
