My First week at Sure C&W
My first day as the Sure Apprentice was spent
in the shop in Strand Street where I was taken round and introduced
to everyone. All of the staff were very supportive and I got to
grips with Sure’s offers and price plans very quickly. My previous
work experience also helped as I was already aware of how to use
some of the equipment in the shop making my first day just that bit
easier.
One of the things that I looked forward to and
enjoyed whilst working in the shop was dealing with the customers
and finding out what people wanted from Sure. I had fun working
with everyone in the shop and I thought that the atmosphere was
brilliant because everyone was really helpful.
Another aspect of working in the shop that I
enjoyed was familiarising myself with the range of handsets and
learning the different features and specifications. However the
part I enjoyed most was using the knowledge I’ve gained to find the
right handset and price plans for customers coming into the
store.
After working in the shop, I spent the next
couple of days in the office on Athol Street working on Sure’s new
handset guide for customers, gathering information on all of the
handsets we have coming in over the next few weeks and find out
detailed specifications for each one.
The following day I did some research on what
competitor telecoms companies are doing on social networking sites
such as Facebook, Twitter and Linked In. Following this research, I
worked on a plan for Sure C&W for a way they might be able use
social networking websites to their advantage.
Next week I look forward to spending more time
in the store to continue learning the different processes.
Following the success of my final event where I raised over £1,500
for Wish Upon a Dream, I will also be working with the marketing
team on ideas for charity fundraising events.
