Sure has the Island Games covered.

Jersey’s team and supporters at the Island Games in Rhodes will be able to keep in touch with friends and family back home using Sures’ roaming mobile service. 

The company has extended its pay as you go coverage to include the Greek Islands in time for the Games. It means customers on both pay monthly and pre-pay price plans will be able to use their mobile phones just as they do in Jersey. 

Sure is the only Channel Island operator offering this service to all its mobile customers.  And anyone who has one of the company’s new Sure price plans will also benefit from the new lower roaming tariffs. 

Marketing director Mark Briers said the company hoped it would provide a boost to the Jersey team. 

Our own team pulled out all the stops to make sure we could provide coverage in time for the games, and we hope now that this will be a big help to the Jersey team,’ he said. 

‘When you are hundreds of miles away from home competing for Jersey then just being able to keep in touch with family and friends is sure to be a real comfort.  A few last minute words of encouragement could make a big difference, and hopefully they will be able to share a few golden moments.’

The extended coverage for pre-pay customers includes the whole of mainland Greece and the other Greek islands.  It brings the total number of countries covered by the company’s Camel Roaming service to 14.
