Sure mobile evolves as it reaches 20% market penetration

Sure mobile today launched new price plans as it reached the milestone of 15,000 customers, an estimated 20% share of Jersey’s mobile market.   

Sure, the mobile phone service from Cable & Wireless, is still less than a year old, having launched in Jersey on September 13th 2006.
Mark Briers, Marketing Director of Sure mobile for the Channel Islands & Isle of Man said:

The new price plans also include:
- Inclusive free minutes, texts, picture messages and data allowance for Pay monthly customers which can be used when connecting to all Jersey mobiles and local and UK land lines
- Texts which cost as little as 3p no matter where in the world they are sent
- A new feature for parents, the ‘Kids Bolt On’ which offers constant free calls to a chosen number, with other usage controlled by the adult
- A new loyalty scheme for Pay as you go customers, with rewards for topping up credit
- No roaming charges when in the Channel Islands or Isle of Man.
- Special tri-island payment plans for businesses with staff regularly travelling within the Channel Islands and Isle of Man.
Sure mobile customers still get free voicemail, which could save an average user over £10 per month. The operator also uses per second billing, meaning that a quick call home can cost as little as 2p.
