NOW THOUSANDS MORE ISLANDERS CAN TEXT THEIR BUS

Thousands more islanders can now find out what time buses arrive as the TextMyBus service is available to customers of Sure mobile.

The Text My Bus service was launched by Transport and Technical Services last week. All islanders need to do is to send a text message with their bus stop code (which can be found printed on the road at their bus stop)go to a bus stop and send to the number 66556. They will receive a text message reply giving them the times the next two buses with arrive at that stop either in real time or scheduled time, which is applicable or available.

Gregory Jordan, Sure mobile’s Commercial Director for the Channel Islands, said:

“We are delighted to be able to now offer this service which should be of great interest to our customers. It’s a good initiative and I hope it encourages more people to use the bus sometimes instead of driving – clearly that’s better for both the environment and the pocket!”
