Better support for BlackBerry customers
Sure mobile’s BlackBerry customers will benefit
from new diverse and resilient links from the local telecoms
operator direct to the manufacturer in Canada.
RIM (Research in Motion) is based in Waterloo,
Ontario. The company is a leading designer, manufacturer and
marketer of innovative wireless solutions for the worldwide mobile
market. Its BlackBerry smartphones and associated technology form
one of the most popular product suites for businesses around the
globe.
The new connections have been established
directly from Sure's headquarters in Guernsey with RIM in Canada
via two routes through London or Paris. The local telcoms operator
has also established a new service level agreement with RIM so that
any faults can be reported directly.
Russ Sharman, Sure’s Chief Technical Officer,
said:
“These new links will help improve the service
received by Sure’s BlackBerry customers for whom 24 7 connectivity
is often business critical.”
Sure offers BlackBerry customers European and
international roaming packages for just £30 and £40 respectively
for businesses with more than 10 users. Five megabytes per month of
free roaming data is included within these packages.
