Sure launches small business team
Sure Business has created a dedicated team to
manage the needs of its small business customers.
The telecoms operator estimates that there are
around 3,000 small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in Jersey
with between 1 – 50 staff. These businesses form the majority of
the 5,000 private sector firms registered in Jersey. However,
Sure’s research has indicated that these companies want a higher
level of personal service than they currently receive.
Graham Hughes, Sure’s Commercial Director in
Jersey, commented:
“We set out a few months ago to identify how we
can improve our service to small businesses in Jersey. From talking
with and listening to them it became clear that small businesses
aren’t getting the personal, one to one account management which
they want and need. Technology is helping businesses of all sizes
to save money, work more flexibly and run operations more
efficiently. Small business owners usually don’t have the time to
find that out themselves – they need regular updates about
technology and explanation about how it can help them. That’s a
service we plan to provide.”
Sure’s Small Business Centre is located on the
first floor of the Sure store in King Street. The floor has been
re-designed and refurbished as a meeting area for small businesses
where they can browse Sure’s product range and discuss their
business requirements with the account management team.
Each SME client will have a dedicated, named
account manager who will assist them on an ongoing basis. They will
be supported by Sure’s freephone 24/7 Contact Centre and the staff
in the Sure store.
Sure Business, the corporate division of Cable
& Wireless International in the Channel Islands and Isle of
Man, sells mobiles, BlackBerry, mobile broadband, SureDial Business
(a fixed line solution which reduces call costs) and both on and
off-island private circuits.
