Sure Mobile is predicting one of its busiest
days of trading this year on Monday 1st December, with
the launch of Mobile Number Portability (MNP).
The Sure Store in King Street
will be opening at 8am and will remain open until 5.30pm with the
first number ‘port’ scheduled for 7:45am for one lucky
pre-registered customer.
To celebrate the introduction
of MNP, Sure will be hosting a number of fun activities and
competitions in store. On the day, 30 people will win prizes
that could include a Nintendo Wii, a 22” HD tv, a mobile handset,
ice skating passes or lottery tickets. Each of the winners will be
given a prize rucksack which will contain Sure goodies plus their
main prize, one of the above.
Everyone who has
pre-registered their interest in MNP with Sure will be invited to
the celebrations and will be given a chance to be selected as one
of the 15 lucky winners, alongside members of the public who turn
up on the day. The Sure team will be serving breakfasts to the
public from 7:30am.
Members of the public will
also have the opportunity during the day to win a free iPhone. No
purchase will be necessary. The first person in store rolling three
sixes in a row on special oversized dice will win the free
iPhone.
Graham Hughes, Chief
Executive, Sure Mobile Jersey, commented: “We have been focussing
our efforts on staff training in the run up to 1st
December. Our in store staff and our call centre team have been
working through rigorous training programmes to ensure they can
continue to offer the high level of support which our customers
have come to expect.
“We are looking forward to
1st December as the day which will see fair competition
in the mobile communications industry in Jersey for the first time.
From Monday onwards we will see consumers and businesses presented
with a clear choice when it comes to selecting their mobile
network, a choice they can make based on value for money, coverage
and customer service, not having to take the loss of their old
number into consideration.”
Not only is 1st
December launch day for MNP it is also the big Shave Off for Sure’s
staff who have been participating in Movember to raise money for
the Prostate Cancer Charity. The hairy five-some will be
losing their top lip fuzz after one month of growing moustaches for
charity in store between 7-9am.
